About ServiClean One
Cleaning and Restoration
ServiClean One was founded in December 1984. Kent Ristow purchased a national franchise and moved to St. Joseph, Michigan, starting his one person cleaning company. For the first year, the business operated out of a one-bedroom apartment. In 1986, it moved to a small duplex in Stevensville and acquired a second van and employees. In 1990, the company built a 3,000 square foot building in Stevensville and grew into a 4 van 10 employee business. In October 1996, Kent separated his relationship with the national franchise and became ServiClean One with the bright pink vans. During its eleven years with the franchise, the company earned numerous service awards including the “EXPERT AWARD,” which is only given to five businesses out of over 4,000. Stacey Ristow joined the company in October of 1995. In May 1997, ServiClean One moved to a new 17,000 square foot facility in Baroda. They grew to about 20 employees and nine service vehicles. It is likely that you have driven by their building with the bright pink roof on Cleveland Ave. at one time or another. In November 2007, Kent and Stacey made the decision to down size their business in order to better control the service they provide. They moved to Berrien Springs, and now promise to be on every job, every time. ServiClean One is a certified firm by the Institute of Cleaning and Restoration Certification entity (IICRC). Both Kent and Stacey Ristow are certified individually by the IICRC, with Kent having earned his Master Cleaning Technician and Master Restoration Technician. That great achievement is only handed out to a hand-full of people in the country. We are also honored to say that we are on the Carpet and Rug Institutes list for “Seal of Approval” Cleaners and a member of Ethical Services. We are proud to say that ServiClean One has become the premier cleaning and Restoration Company serving Southwest Michigan. We hope to serve you soon!
IICRC Certified Firm
The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) has served as the industry guardian for more than 30 years. As a non-profit certification organization, the IICRC helps ensure that you have access to trusted and trained cleaning professionals by establishing and monitoring certification programs and standards for these industries.
To qualify for IICRC-Certified Firm status, businesses must demonstrate proof of insurance, maintain a written customer complaint policy with documented follow-up, and provide ongoing education and training leading to certification for all technicians. IICRC Certified Firms are also required to abide by the IICRC Code of Ethics. Services provided by IICRC Certified professionals range from flooring inspection and cleaning to mold remediation to water and fire damage restoration. ServiClean One is honored to be a part of this organization.
IICRC Master Cleaning And Restoration Technician
The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) has given only a select group of people the advanced designation of “Master Cleaning & Restoration Technician”. Kent’s 27 year dedication to the industry and our company has earned him this status. It is quite an honor to be a member of this great group of people.
IICRC Journeyman Certified Cleaning and Restoration Technician
Stacey is working on earning her advanced status with the IICRC. As of now, she has earned her Journeyman Cleaning and Restoration Technician status. Stay tuned for more achievements from her certifications.
